Coming from a racing family, her grandfather won the 1980 Paris-Dakar Rally, and her father, mother, and brother all participated in the FIA European Rally Championship. Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky made history in two categories, becoming the first woman to win races in both the Volkswagen Scirocco R Cup and the ADAC GT Masters. In 2023, she competed in the FIA RX2e championship, securing two podiums and finishing third overall.
