Tamás Végh began his rallycross career just four years ago, although he had competed in touring car races in his youth. He made his debut in the Hungarian championship in the Magyar Kupa (Hungarian Cup) field with an Opel Astra, but after just one year, he was competing in the Super Touring Car under 1600 cm³ category. Competing in the European Championship round at Nyirád had long been on his bucket list, and the first World RX of Hungary last year provided an excellent opportunity. The driver from Tapolca thus debuted in the FIA European Rallycross Championship at Nyirád and will do so again this year, where perhaps this time the result will also be important.
