The family-oriented Martins XC Team has been present in technical sports for more than 25 years. Paolo Martins previously competed in the CrossCar category of the French Championship. With the debut of the FIA European Rallycross Championship's new RX5 category, the French driver entered the international stage at the same time as his brother, Flavio. The season opener in Riga went better for Flavio; Paolo currently holds 13th place in the overall standings.
