Although he intended last year's European Championship round at Nyirád to be his farewell race, Répási Róbert has entered the competition again this year at the Vörös Katlan. After a 15-year hiatus, Répási returned to rallycross racing in 2020 and won his first race in the national championship with a Škoda Fabia. He continued to excel, becoming the Super Touring Cars under1600cc champion by the end of the season. In 2022, he made his FIA Rallycross European Championship debut at Nyirád, finishing tenth with inferior equipment compared to his rivals, and last year he ended up in 13th place.
