André Sousa
André Sousa, who has been racing since 2016, already showcased his pace by winning a heat at the 2023 European Championship round at Montalegre, Portugal, and went on to complete a full season in the Euro RX3 category of the FIA European Rallycross Championship in 2024. The Audi A1 built by Volland Racing was previously driven by Nuno Araujo, and Sousa immediately took the car into the final at the Höljes opening round, finishing fifth. He matched this result in Belgium and Portugal, and delivered his best performance at Nyirád to finish fourth. A podium escaped him in the championship as well; finishing five points behind Dominik Senegacnik, he ended up fourth overall. Last year, he bookended his season with two podiums, finishing second in Portugal and third in Turkey, though he dropped one position in the championship to finish fifth in the points standings.
