KRISTOFFERSSON MOTORSPORT
The most successful driver in rallycross history. Known throughout motorsport as “Super Swede” for his dominant and precise driving style, Johan Kristoffersson is the son of former rallycross and touring car driver Tommy Kristoffersson. Since 2017, there has only been one year in which the Swedish driver did not become world champion. In 2019 he competed in both the World Rally Championship and the WTCR, finishing fifth in the latter. The eight-time rallycross world champion started last season with an internal combustion-powered car, but after only finishing fifth in Portugal, he switched to an electric car after one event. With it, he won in Höljes, at Nyirád and one of the Turkish rounds, adding two second places to secure his eighth world title with a 23 point margin. Countless records belong to him; Kristoffersson holds the record for the most race victories and also set a historic benchmark in 2018 by winning 11 of the season’s 12 races. Although he was challenged at the Riga season opener, he continued in the FIA European Rallycross Championship exactly where he left off in the World Championship — on the top step of the podium.
