Since 2008, the FIA Rallycross European Championship has practically not existed without the most active female competitor in the discipline, Mandie August. In fact, in 2020, she became the second woman ever to compete in a World RX event. She enjoyed the Barcelona race so much that she returned to the Catalan track for the World Rallycross Championship season opener the following year, where she reached the semifinals twice out of four occasions and secured 14th place overall. Her last season was forgettable, finishing only in 15th place overall in Euro RX1.
