Ole Christian Veiby is a highly respected name in both rallycross and rallying thanks to his considerable success in both disciplines. He appeared in the World Championship in both 2014 and 2015 while simultaneously competing in the FIA European Rallycross Championship, where he finished third overall. He later switched focus to rallying and finished fourth in WRC2 in 2020. In 2022 he returned to rallycross and, as Johan Kristoffersson’s team-mate, finished fourth overall in the World RX standings, followed by fifth overall the next year. In 2024 he delivered an outstanding season with six podiums and his maiden World RX victory in Turkey, eventually finishing third overall. Although he won twice last year, he again ended the championship third, just one point behind Niclas Grönholm. He remains Kristoffersson’s team-mate this season and, with the end of the World Championship, continues in the FIA European Rallycross Championship alongside the eight-time world champion. At the opening round in Riga, the pair locked out the top two positions on the podium, although the Norwegian driver again had to settle for second place
